Meizu is trying to return to the smartphone market with the new mBlu 10 model

Like Xiaomi, Meizu also used to rely on inexpensive, but high-quality and productive mobile phones, and also actively developed flagship devices and its own Flyme shell, which was opposed by Xiaomi's MIUI. However, now almost nothing is heard about the company, and mBlu 10 is its attempt to return at least to the market of budget mobile phones.

The new mBlu 10 is characterized primarily by its large screen, which is only barely inferior in size to that of the iPhone 13 Pro Max. Also, the smartphone is endowed with a battery, the capacity of which is higher in comparison with most modern smartphones.
Perhaps Meizu will not limit itself to one mBlu 10 and will release several more models in the foreseeable future The base mBlu 10 costs 699 yuan (8210 rubles at the exchange rate of the Central Bank on January 12, 2022) and comes with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal memory.

The 4/128 GB version will cost 799 yuan (9380 rubles), and for 6/128 GB you will need to pay 899 yuan (10.6 thousand rubles). All prices are valid for the Chinese market, where mBlu 10 is already available for pre-order in black, white and green plastic casing. The timing of the appearance of the smartphone outside of China has not been established.
Saved on almost everything The mBlu 10 smartphone is the return not only of Meizu itself, but also of its Blue Charm series of budget devices. In this case, the company had to significantly reduce the characteristics of a number of mobile phone components in order to keep the price at such a low level with relatively modern memory capacities.

For example, the screen in mBlu 10 is an IPS-matrix with a large diagonal of 6.62 inches. However, no less large are its frames at the top and bottom and a teardrop-shaped cutout for the front camera. In most modern smartphones, manufacturers have abandoned it in favor of a less noticeable round hole. The screen resolution is 1600x720 pixels, which corresponds to the HD + format, and the refresh rate is equal to the standard 60 Hz.
The smartphone supports networks from the second to fourth generations (5G module is not provided). There is a separate 3.5 mm input for a wired headset, Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 4.2 modules, as well as Android 11 operating system and Flyme 9 firmware.

The phone supports microSD cards up to 256 GB, there is an IR sensor to control home electronics. Meizu mBlu 10 weighs 201 grams with a thickness of 9.3 millimeters. Reputation and history of Meizu Meizu earned a reputation in the media as an "iPhone clone maker" as it was the first manufacturer in history to copy the design of Apple mobile phones in its products. She introduced her first "clone" in early 2007.

At that time, less than a month had passed since the premiere of the original iPhone. In 2010, this resulted in Meizu being accused of stealing ideas and intellectual property. It was personally put forward by the founder of Apple Steve Jobs (Steve Jobs). Meizu was founded in 2003 and originally only made portable MP3 players. She released her first smartphone called M8 in 2007, and it worked on Windows CE with a modified interface, since Android did not yet exist in its current “smartphone” version at that time. This shell later formed the basis of the famous Flyme firmware.
The first serious problems for Meizu began in 2017, when the company split into three separate divisions. One of them continued to produce various equipment under the main Meizu brand. The second division of the company was engaged in the production of budget mobile phones Blue Charm.

The tasks of the third company included the development and promotion of Flyme. In the following months, the company's business went even worse, although it still tried to make original devices. For example, at the beginning of 2019, she showed the Zero smartphone without a single connector.
